What we store

During a session, Simple Scrum Poker stores:

  • Room alias — the name of the estimation room (e.g. brave-team).
  • Display name — the name you enter when joining a room. Not tied to any account.
  • Votes — your card selection for each item, during the voting phase only.
  • An anonymous session identifier — issued by Firebase Anonymous Authentication. This is a random UUID; it is not linked to your identity in any way.

We do not store email addresses, IP addresses, or any personally identifiable information.

Where your data lives

Session data is stored in Firebase Realtime Database hosted in the europe-west1 region (Belgium, European Union), operated by Google LLC. Firebase's privacy policy applies: firebase.google.com/support/privacy.

How long we keep it

Room data is ephemeral. A room is automatically deleted when all participants have been disconnected for 15 consecutive minutes. There is no long-term storage of session contents.

The Markdown summary generated at the end of a session is created entirely in your browser and is never sent to our servers.

Analytics

We use Vercel Analytics and Web Vitals to measure aggregate usage (page views, performance metrics). These events do not include vote values, display names, or Firebase UIDs.

Cookies and local storage

Firebase Anonymous Auth stores a session token in your browser's IndexedDB. This is a technical necessity for the app to function; it is not used for tracking. No advertising or third-party tracking cookies are set.
